Centrelink is a platform provided by Services Australia that supports people with payments and services at times of major change. Sureway is contracted by the Australian Government to provide Employment Services that can help you or someone you know who is receiving these payments with employment support.
In some situations, when you apply to receive a Centrelink benefit you may have an obligation to be linked with an Employment Services provider such as Sureway. If you are not receiving a Centrelink benefit, you may be able to volunteer for Employment Services.
Whether you are currently unemployed or not working enough hours to live independently from benefit payments, Sureway’s services are designed to help you to move from welfare support into sustainable work.
The Sureway Commitment
Sureway delivers Employment Services on behalf of the Australian Government’s Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and the Department of Social Services. We can offer assistance to eligible individuals who want better opportunities in the workforce.

When visiting Centrelink for employment assistance, ask to be helped by Sureway. We will get you the best chance of success in searching for a job that is suited to youbased on your skills and strengths.
Once you have registered with and have been assessed by Centrelink, the next step is to request to be linked with Sureway as your preferred employment services provider. You may be referred to either Workforce Australia or Disability Employment Services (DES) depending on your personal circumstances. It’s a simple process and we are here to make it easy for you.
Have your documents ready for faster processing. Bring these when you visit Centrelink:
Proof of Identity – birth certificate, government-issued ID such as an Australiandrivers licence or passport
Proof of Residence – correspondences, utility bills indicating your address
Proof of Income – Income Tax Return, payslips from current or previous job
If you wish to register for Disability Employment Services or claim the Disability Support Pension (DSP), you should also present any medical documentation of your condition(s).

As a Workforce Australia Employment Services provider, we help connect you with businesses and training and employment opportunities. Workforce Australia Employment Services is the main employment services program for Australian PARTICIPANTS who are currently receiving income support.
Aged between 15 and 24? Achieve your goals with Sureway in our Transition to Work (TtW) program. TtW is an Australian Government initiative to assist young people into work or education, including apprenticeships and training.
Career Transition Assistance (CTA) is an Australian Government initiative to assist mature age PARTICIPANTS build skills and confidence to become more competitive in the modern labour market. Work Assist helps the employed who are going through an illness, injury or disability be empowered to keep their job. Services Australia provides the solution for these unfortunate work interruptions.
