Sureway Celebrates 2026 NESA Awards Finalists

Sureway is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our people and participants, with three finalist recognitions in the 2026 National Employment Services Association (NESA) Awards for Excellence. These nominations highlight the dedication, innovation and positive impact our team continues to make across the employment services sector.

Congratulations to Andrew Davies – Finalist for Achiever of the Year

We are also thrilled to celebrate Andrew Davies, a participant from our Mudgee site, who has been named a finalist for Achiever of the Year.

Andrew's journey is one of resilience, determination and personal growth. After overcoming significant challenges, he worked hard to establish a stable foundation for himself. When he first connected with Sureway, Andrew described himself as shy and lacking confidence, yet he consistently demonstrated remarkable determination - walking long distances to every appointment with a smile and embracing every opportunity to improve his circumstances.

With the ongoing encouragement and support of the Sureway team, Andrew's confidence flourished. When a new Silly Solly's store opened in Mudgee, he was encouraged to introduce himself for future employment opportunities. His confidence and positive attitude made a lasting impression, resulting in a job offer.

Today, Andrew is working 30 hours each week, has purchased a reliable vehicle, is addressing his dental health, and is training towards a management position. His nomination is a well-deserved recognition of the dedication and perseverance that have transformed his life, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate his achievements.

Congratulations, Andrew, and best of luck at the awards.

Congratulations to Matthew Cilia – Finalist for Outstanding Service to the Employment Services Sector

We are delighted to congratulate Matthew Cilia, who has been named a finalist in the Outstanding Service to the Employment Services Sector category.

Matt’s recognition reflects the scale of his leadership impact across participants, employers, and communities. As Chief Operating Officer, he has played a central role in strengthening Sureway’s growth, capability, and sector reputation. Through our recent period of significant change, Matt has continued to lead with clarity and focus, maintaining service quality and consistency while supporting the teams who deliver outcomes every day.

Matt’s leadership has strengthened capability across all levels of the organisation, supporting people to progress from frontline roles into senior management and executive positions. His approach to accountability, sound decision-making and meaningful impact is reflected in many of Sureway’s current leaders, extending his influence well beyond his direct role and contributing to a strong leadership pipeline across the business.

Honourable Mention for Parkes Wind Farm Partnership

Sureway is also proud to have received an Honourable Mention for our Parkes Wind Farm submission, delivered in partnership with Chandler Macleod.

This recognition comes as part of a newly introduced NESA category, created to acknowledge the strength of Sureway's submission in the Champion Employer of the Year category.

The Parkes Wind Farm project has been a standout example of collaboration, creating meaningful employment opportunities for participants across the Central West. Through close partnerships with employers, participants have gained hands-on experience, increased confidence and pathways into long-term employment.

The project has also addressed common barriers to employment by providing job readiness support, medicals and compliance, PPE and essential work items, community information sessions and access to Civil Construction training. To date, the initiative has supported 70+ participants, resulting in 42 job interviews, 25 employment outcomes and 20 work-ready students, helping to build a stronger and more resilient regional workforce.
